Bumming around Salt Lake City’s best park today. Liberty Park, Salt Lake’s Family hot spot. With playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, horseshoes, a pool, ducks, waterway ponds for the younger folks, the best hill for sledding during the winter, rides, snacks, and Tracy Aviary. As a little kid my family would frequent liberty park on the weekends, back then there used to be the coolest zip line a kid could dream of. I was sad to see that it was gone. There also used to be giant see saws at one of the playgrounds, I remember playing on it with my dad and sisters. Me and a couple of my sisters piled on one end while my dad was on the other. It didn’t work. My dad’s side stayed on the ground, and one or two of us fell to the ground. ooops. :) We would run through the seven canyons waterway ponds during the hot summers. It was a thrill to bring Ziggy there for the first time earlier this summer. I hadn’t played in it since I was seven, and almost twenty years later I’m back holding my little boy’s hand as he wanders through the water with me. I can’t wait til the winter when I can take him sledding down the greatest hill in Salt Lake.
Today we spent most of our time wandering around the rides. We took Ziggy on the ferris wheel earlier this summer, I was scared, I don’t think he was. I cant wait to do a reddaisy photography portrait session at the ferris wheel. An engagement photography session would be especially perfect! ~red
