Thank you for visiting ICandy, a project built by Reddaisy Photography. If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them or ask the author.
I happened upon this unique work on my way to class one Tuesday this semester. It warmed my heart. I know this doesn’t scream LOVE to everyone, it did to me. Creativity is an expression of the soul. I don’t know anyone whose soul isn’t filled with love, passion, and life.
This piece I assume is a student project, as I stumbled upon it just outside the Art building at the University of Utah. I wished that I had my camera, and promised to myself to come back later. And I did. Of friend of mine was having a bad day and I brought him here. I was sure that the warmth and excitement I felt when I first saw the pinwheels would be shared. With camera in hand I inspected the pinwheels from all angles. Including their bottoms. I crawled underneath to find my favorite perspective. It was a fairly breezy day, perfect for enjoying the array of pinwheels at their best.
My friend enjoyed them as well. He inspected them from every angle curious about their construction, purpose, and form. He even created his own small pinwheel out of a business card.
Even though I know these pinwheels won’t be around forever, probably not for long at all, they have become one of my peaceful places. The places you go when you need a smile, and no one is around to give you a hug. The perfect spot to sit and write, read, or just breath. Just breath.

Just finished editing all of my Florida Sessions and have to share a few over the next few days. First is the best brother and sister ever! These two have the best energy, I LOVE IT!
So playful and silly….
But also tender and loving…
They are a blast! to photograph.

I can’t wait for our next session.
As I was leaving they asked, “when will you be back?”
I love my job! Things like that just tug at the hearts strings. :)

I am back in Florida on a portrait session trip and I am truly enjoying myself. The sun shines differently here. I am thawing. I love living in Utah but it is very good to thaw every once in a while. I am very fortunate to be able to work-cation in Florida a couple of times every year. I am excited to photograph so many lovely families over the next few days, most of which are past clients who I am so excited to see. I can’t wait to see how much everyone has grown since I last photographed them. I will do my best to get in a photograph or two while I’m here. Until then. ~red
Been pretty absent from the bloggo-sphere. I just realized I didn’t manage to blog about any of my sessions from the past month. I must apologize for my absence and give the only explanation I can muster which is that life has been flying me around by the seat of my pants. Life has been a whirlwind this past month, but I think I’ve finally managed to gain control, and have removed the propellers from the seat of my pants. So here is a post with a pic and a link to fabulous blog from a friend/client of mind. I love ot read her posts they are full of energy and life and most importantly hope. I love hope. She gave a fabulous shout out to reddaisy photography: nap time experiment I urge you to peruse her blog. Enjoy!
